Free: the beach, the square and the lighthouse
The beach is public and right in town. Walk the shore, swim, watch the fishing boats come in. The main square and the leaning lighthouse are free too, and the whole center is walkable.
Cheap: snorkel and cenotes
Snorkeling the reef with a licensed local guide and swimming in a cenote cost money. Compare a couple of options on the beach and on the cenotes route; prices change by season and park.
A full meal that doesn't cost a fortune
A burger with fries is $225 pesos for most of our burgers, and Lil' Jimmy with fries is $170. One order of fries is enough for two, and a fries basket is $80.

Save on getting around
Park once and walk. The beach, the square and the restaurants in town are a few minutes apart. Our street closes to cars from 3 PM, so leave the car a few blocks away.
